Jennifer is an experienced school counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern under the supervision of Sarah Balint-Bravo M.Ed, LPC-S, RPT-S, NCC.  Her counseling approach is based on openness and acceptance. She is skilled in quickly developing trusting relationships based on unconditional positive regard which creates a safe, non-judgmental environment where children can explore their thoughts and feelings in the security of the therapeutic relationship. 

With twenty years of school counseling experience, Jennifer has helped children overcome challenges involving anxiety, depression, divorce, family illness, grief, friendship, and learning differences.  She also enjoys working with parents in the therapeutic setting to help them develop positive and healthy familial relationships.

Jennifer earned her master’s degree in counseling from Texas A&M University-Commerce and her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Texas Tech University. Jennifer is trained in play therapy, including Filial therapy, activity therapy and group counseling. 

Jennifer lives is Dallas with her husband and teenage son and daughter.
