Kathryn Williams is a Master’s Level Intern completing her graduate degree in Counseling from Southern Methodist University. Kathryn is a native of Dallas, and she attended high school at the Episcopal School of Dallas. She received her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Southern Methodist University, where she was a Founders Scholar. Prior to entering the counseling field, Kathryn and her sister founded and designed a children’s clothing brand that was sold in over 70 boutiques nationwide. This experience provided Kathryn with the opportunity to express her creativity and work directly with children and families. 

In her graduate program, Kathryn has received training to counsel children, teens, couples, and adults, and she has received specialized training in play and activity therapy. Prior to joining Park Cities Child & Family Counseling, Kathryn provided counseling services at SMU’s Center for Family Counseling, where she primarily worked with adolescents and teens. Kathryn is a member of the American Counseling Association, the International Family Therapy Association, and SMU’s Play Therapy Student Association. Furthermore, she is an inductee of the Sigma Mu chapter of Chi Sigma Iota, an international counseling academic and professional honor society.

Kathryn lives in Dallas with her husband and their beloved corgi. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family and friends, cooking, and traveling. She is also an active volunteer with the DFW chapter of National Angels, an organization that provides support and care for foster children and their families.
